Shaping The Life You Want

You know, I'm really at the point in my life where I'm starting to understand the idea of crafting your life the way you want it to be and not just live life as it's handed to you. It starts with small things and I've really latched onto this, "Everyday, just try to be a little better." In this sense, it's not about making drastic improvements because they are hard to maintain but to make small incremental improvements that are managable until they become lifestyle habits.

I won't say it's easy but I'm starting to see the benefits of becoming a morning person and disregarding the idea of being a night owl. I generally have been feeling better and even my sleep is improving. I hit the gym 3-4 times a week and my body has been feeling stronger and more resilient. Books have been a struggle but I'm working through them as fast as I can get to them. The idea is still consistency but I'm putting focused effort into the things I want to enjoy and disregarding things I really don't need to do.

Books

Adding two more books to the list:

  • Captivate - Vanessa Van Edwards
  • Getting The Love You Want - Harville Hendrix & Helen LaKelly Hunt

Read enough and you can get a really good sense of the world. We can all learn to be more human to one another in a digital world.
