Impellam is a staffing and workforce solutions firm. I was placed as a Solutions Integrator with Phillips 66, a major multinational energy company, to support their pipeline engineering software needs.

Role & Responsibilities​

  • Developed a WPF desktop application for calculating settle-out pressure across single-phase pipeline networks.
  • The tool was used by pipeline engineers during commissioning and safety assessments, applying fluid dynamics principles to real operational scenarios.

About Phillips 66​

Phillips 66 is a diversified energy manufacturing and logistics company with operations spanning refining, midstream, chemicals, and marketing. Working within their engineering team provided exposure to large-scale industrial software requirements and the standards expected by a major energy operator.

Takeaway​

This engagement bridged my chemical engineering background with applied software development — translating domain expertise in pipeline physics into a practical engineering tool used by professional teams.
