Senior Model Engineer (2009 – 2016)​

My career began here following my Chemical Engineering degree from Colorado School of Mines. This role established my foundation in pipeline simulation and real-time monitoring systems.

  • Deployed and maintained multiphase pipeline monitoring systems for international oil and gas clients, delivering continuous oversight of complex, high-value pipeline networks.
  • Identified and confirmed active hydrate formation in a client's offshore pipeline using real-time monitoring data — enabling immediate corrective action that prevented an unplanned shutdown and directly contributed to client retention.
  • Trained and mentored a globally distributed team of maintenance consultants in system tuning methodologies, standardizing operational best practices across regions.

Automation Technology Professional III (November 2022 – Present)​

Returning to Wood after a career in fintech, I now apply both my pipeline domain expertise and software engineering skills to modern industrial automation challenges.

  • Deploying and configuring Virtuoso Pipeline Monitoring Systems for multiple offshore oil and gas pipelines, enabling real-time integrity surveillance and early anomaly detection.
  • Designing and implementing a Leak Detection System (LDS) for a water treatment facility, integrating real-time flow monitoring to meet regulatory compliance and operational safety requirements.

Takeaway​

Wood is where my engineering career began and where I continue to apply deep domain knowledge. The combination of pipeline engineering expertise and software development skills built over 15 years creates a unique capability for delivering intelligent monitoring and automation solutions in the energy sector.
