Talan is a technology consulting firm that places engineers with client companies. I was contracted to XBTO, a leading cryptocurrency liquidity provider operating across global digital asset exchanges.

Role & Responsibilities

• Extended a live cryptocurrency trading platform built on ReactJS with new exchange connections via REST, WebSocket, and FIX protocol.
• Shipped new product features and resolved critical software defects across the trading UI and backend services.
• Designed and built an alternative cryptocurrency market dashboard as an entry to an internal innovation competition, delivering beyond the core project scope.

About XBTO

XBTO is one of the earliest cryptocurrency liquidity firms, providing market-making services across major digital asset exchanges globally. Working there provided direct exposure to professional-grade trading infrastructure, high-frequency exchange connectivity, and the operational demands of a 24/7 crypto trading environment.

Takeaway

This engagement deepened my expertise in cryptocurrency exchange connectivity and accelerated my understanding of production-grade fintech systems — experience I carried directly into building the Arden Charts platform.
